THE LITTLE THEATER CLUB
Cleda Steele - President
Tom Elliott - Vice President
Goldie Sexton - Secretary
Mr. Wiley - Faculty Sponser

Two Major performances have been given by the Little Theater Club this year. Both were three-act comedies, written by Jay Tobias; "The Antics of Andrew", and "Here Comes Charlie".

The most outstanding members of the cast of "The Antics of Andrew" in our memories will be Tom Elliott and Willard Phipps who impersonated girls. The longest remembered characters in "Here Comes Charlie" will be Fauvetta Carter, who played the part of Charlie, and Jess Caddell, who played the part of Charlie's old Uncle.

All characters in these two plays, and members of the Little Theater Club feel that we have deepened our appreciation of the drama through this tears work.

BASKETBALL QUEEN
In a special assembly meeting, the student body of Black Star High School elected Miss Sylvia Me Fraim the first Basketball Queen. Miss Fraim's blonde beauty and regal bearing were the center of the pageant staged in the school gymnasium at the final game of a most successful basketball season. Willard Phipps, a classmate and an outstanding athlete, crowned the queen and presented her with a sweater bearing the coveted "B" in behalf of the team.

Other contestants who acted as attendants were Betty Lou Perciful, crown bearer, Emaline Burnette, Gladys Ellwood, Pruda Reed, Verda Scott, Ila Burdine, Thelma Eastridge, Colleen Moore, Ruth Gorman, and Mabel Golden.
